Drawn by W. A. Sherman, M. E. The map shows several items all at the same time. It features towns, township lines, mountains, gulches, lodes, placers, railroads, waterways, and mining claims. The map shows many of the mining claims we have stock certificates of for sale in this catalog and auction. The town of Red Mountain is on the west and the town of Ironton is towards the east. The Silverton Railroad runs through most of the area, ending at the Florence mining claim past the town of Ironton. The district was in the mountains. Besides the Red Mountain, there was Hayden Mountain and Brown Mountain plus Red Mountains one, two and three. Some of the colorful names for the gulches are the Poughkeepsie, Commodore, Gray Copper, Corkscrew, and Full Moon. Some of the mining claims of the area were the Little Annie, Orphan Boy, Little Nellie, Vulcan, Blue Bell, Bonnie Bell, Silver King, and Lost Wonder. Beautiful map. Excellent condition.
