Lot of 4. 1. The Henrietta Milling and Mining Company. No. 762 issued to Mrs. Lucia S. J. Savin by Geo. H. Craft, Secretary, and E. C. Drew, President, for 90 shares on 18 September 1909. Incorporated in 1909, The Henrietta was a copper, gold, and silver mining company located was 6 miles north of Silverton in San Juan County. The firm was organized to acquire the property of the San Juan Smelting and Refining Company. In 1916 the company was succeeded by the Henrietta Copper Mining Co. U/C. Some yellowing issues and two small tears son the lower right side. Good condition. 2. The Yellow Jacket Mines Company issued No. 50 to Kern Dodge for 1,000 shares. Signed by Treasurer, Chas. E. Davis and President Chas. J. Hood on 10 May 1921. Also countersigned by the registrar of The Corporation Trust Company on the same date. In the Uncompahgre Mining District of Ouray County, this corporation formed in 1916. Not cancelU/Crinkles but in overall good condition. 3. The Mountain Top Mining Company incorporated in this state in 1911 in the Mt. Sneffels Mining District, Ouray County. It issued no. 1093 to William McFarlane on 23 December 1919 for 650 shares. Company officers signing the stock were G. H. Barnhart, Secretary, and Windsor Morris, President. G. H. Beebe was the vice president and general manager of the company. The firm was a gold and silver mining company developed by a 2,500’ crosscut tunnel, with a total of over 9,000’ of workings, to a depth of 1,000’. This company may have been the only one in the world with its mill located underground to prevent damage due to snow slides [Fenske notes]. U/C. ExceU/Con. 4. Lisbon Valley Uranium Company. This firm had over 2,000 claims “on uranium, vanadium, copper, lead, silver lead, and gold prospects” in 3 different states. Its Colorado claims included the Lucky Star and Lucky Strike in the Lisbon Valley Mining District of San Juan County [Holabird, Fred, Western Americana, Auction #9, Volume 2: Colorado, p. 107, 2001]. Fenske noted in 1955 the company merged with the Devils Canyon Uranium Corp., Montezuma Uranium Corp., and Arco Uranium Corp. This particular stock is no. 11479 issued to Robert Leopold by Secretary, Melvin F. Schroeder, and President, Wilder H. Brinton for 1,000 shares on 4 October 1956. Some pencil markings on the bottom border. Cancelled. Excellent condition.
