Lot of 3. 1. Montrose Mining Company in the Uncompahgre Mining District, No. 62 issued to E. R. Grant, Trustee, by E. R. Grant, Assistant Secretary, and Edward H. Bunker, Vice President, on 2 April 1887 for 100 shares. Countersigned by the registrar for the American Loan and Trust Company on 17 May 1887. After opening up and putting its stock on Wall Street, the stock went fast, within 48 hours, according to the Engineering & Mining Journal of 7 May 1887. A month later, the same journal reported that “the property in question is the Belle of Ouray, and having been acquainted with it since location by Pierce, the original owner, can say without fear of contradiction that there has never been a pound of pay ore shipped, and to the best of our knowledge and belief, not one ounce of pay ore in sight. It is simply a steal, and the stock in such a [sic] infamous deal would be dear at 47 or 50 cents per bale” [Ref: Engineering & Mining Journal, 11 June 1887]. Signed by Grant on reverse but there are no witness signatures. U/C. Some smudges, yellowing, foxing, and wrinkling. Incorporated in California. Fair to good condition.

2. The Grand View Gold Co. of Ouray Colorado. No. 6 issued to William F. Hattes by W. F. Hattes, Secretary, and James Blair, President, for 50 shares on 25 September 1894. Incorporated in Colorado. Not cancelU/Cnt condition.

3. The San Pedro Gold Mining Company issued No. 4872 to Walter J. Vogt for 500 shares. The certificate is signed by Charles B. Burt, Secretary, and F. S. Mallory Vill, President, on 20 December 1906. Signed by Vogt on the reverse on 6 November 1913 and a witness. Incorporated in Colorado in 1902. Some foxing. U/C. GoodU/C
