Leadville Mining District. This company was the successor to The United Mining and Development Co., of America. They owned the King Solomon Mine in Calaveras Co., California, and the Century Mine in Pima Co., Arizona. It had a 100 ft. shaft showing a 2 ft. vein of gold and copper/silver ore of medium grade. United also owned 320 acres of land at Leadville and about 40 acres were leased to John Thompson Mining Co. In Montana they owned the Monitor Mine at Saltese in Missoula Co. in Montana, as well as the Green Campbell Mine near Silver Star, Madison Co., and the Buckeye Mine in Flathead., Montana [Ref: Copper Handbook, 1908, p. 1360; 1910-1911, p. 1728]. No. B216 issued to Alfred P. Boller by John McKinnon as Treasurer and John Thomson as President on 1 May 1905. Signed by Boller on reverse. Crème colored paper with gray to black border. Some flower design in the border. Vignette is of two caves and miners working underground with a mill on top of the ground. U/C. Excellent condition.
