Lot of 2. 1. The Black Hawk Mining and Milling Co. certificate number 176 issued to Wm. Clark on 19 January 1897 by J. L. [illegible] as Secretary, and George Bradley as President. On crème paper with an ornate gold flower border. Each corner has a different vignette of a mining scene. The main vignette is of a mining camp in the mountains. Yellowing in the folds on the reverse. U/C. Good condition.



2. The Colorado City and Manitou Mining and Milling Company number 526 issued to State Investment Company on 17 May 1905 by J. P. Jackson, Secretary, and W. J. Ghinn, Vice President. On white paper with a green border, there are flowers in each corner of the border. Also signed by the Ass’t. Secretary of the Colorado Title and Trust Co. Very nice stock, clean, excellent condition. Not cancelU/Cthis company owned the Iron King, Ella, Red Rock, Genoa and Frank Lee, between 35 and 40 acres, in the N.E. one-quarter Sect. 18, the N.W. one-quarter Sect. 17, and the S.W. one-quarter Sect. 8, on Tenderfoot Hill; The Jennette and Little Maggie, 19.69 acres' in the N.W. one-quarter Sect. 17, on Galena Hill; the Little Allie, Two Earls, Good Luck and the Tom Patterson, 36 acres, in the N.W. one-quarter Sect. 21, on Bull Hill; in all over 100 acres; all patented [Ref: Hills, Fred, The Official Manual Cripple Creek Mining District, Colorado, 1900].
