Number 1079 made out to Catherine Anna Fredericks by Geo. Graham, Secretary, and Edwin Arkell, President, on 15 April 1896 for 500 shares. Also signed by registrar J. Tucker of the Colorado Clearing House Assn. Has a deep crease along the right border. Good condition. Rare. The Loraine incorporated in December of 1895. The company owed several different mines including: The “Ballyclare, the Ballymore, the Alabama, the Atlanta, the Elba, the Pensacola, the Tuscumbia, the Vendetta, in all about 78 acres, situated in the E. 1-2 section 11 township 16 south, range 70 west, on Little Pisgah Peak”[Ref: Hills, Fred, The Official Manual of the Cripple Creek District, Colorado, p. 300, 1900]. In 1900, the company was in the process of obtaining patents for its properties.
