Number 1735 issued to R. L. Boyer by H. V. Wandell as Secretary and D. Weyand as Vice President and President on 16 December for 500 shares. This stock is smaller in size than the usual stock. U/C. Excellent condition. Rare. The company was incorporated in 1893 and had its main offices in Colorado Springs. The corporation owned “the Gold Cup and Something Good,” containing “6 acres in all, situated in the W. 1-2 of section 19, on the north slope of Raven [Hill].” The properties listed here were all patented. Also, “there [was] a small shaft house and a horse whim, owned by the lessees. A shaft [had] been sunk 240 feet.” The “greater part of [the] development work [had] been done on the Gold Cup” [Ref: Hills, Fred, Official Manual of the Cripple Creek District, Colorado, p. 60, 1900].
