Incorporated in Colorado in 1901, the firm owned “64 claims on 400 acres covering a 6.5 ft. vein. The ore was argentiferous galena, bornite and chalcopyrite (silver, lead, & copper). Development included 10 levels on 1,200 vertical feet of workings. In 1917 they had 3 miles of underground workings, 97,000 tons at the mill and 225,250 tons of “Smelting ore” in reserve. They shipped ore to Ohio and Colorado Smelting & Refining Co. in Salida. Reserves were estimated at 90,000 tons in 1919. Ore taken out at the 1,200 ft [sic] level trough and 6,235 ft [sic] tunnel" [Ref: Holabird, Western Americana, Auction # 9, Volume 2: Colorado, p. 105, 2001]. No. 30 issued to H. Content & Co. by N. H. Broughton, Secretary, and H. Albert Millard, Vice President on December 27 for 100 shares. Signed on reverse by H. Content & Co. and a witness the next day. U/C. Good condition.
