Gannett, Henry. A Gazetteer of Colorado. United States Geological Survey Bulletin 291, Series F, Geog., 51. Printed by the Washington Government Printing Office. Includes Topography, Climate, History, Agriculture, etc. and the official United States government Gazetteer for the state. Discusses many communities and counties in the heyday of token use and circulation. Lists population of Denver to be 133,859 (the 1900 figure), 4,976 miles of railway statewide, and over $24 million of processed gold (second only to statewide processed coal in total value.) In 1904, nearly 14 million tons of silver ore was taken out of the ground (statewide, the highest quantity of any ore that year.) Author Henry Gannett was the president of the National Geographic Society in 1910-1914. Hardbound with some repair in brown and black with black lettering.
