Circus impresario and animal trainer who appeared in a few films, got his big break when Ringling Bros. went broke to form the Clyde Beatty Circus; one of the last of the big railroad shows. In 1956 he merged with Cole Bros. known today as the Clyde Beatty & Cole Bros. Circus, the East Coast’s largest traveling three ring tented circus. Signed program, 17pp, 4to, n.p., 1950. Colorful, illustrated cover boldly signed and inscribed. Printed articles by Frank Sinatra, Harry James, Mervyn LeRoy and Bobby Kaye. Also signed by his wife <b>Harriet Beatty</b> as “<i>Mrs. Clyde Beatty</i>.” She answered an ad for a ballet girl in his circus later to train jungle cats she had once feared. Fine example.</span></p>
