Not so identified, but probably the Judge Torrence a gunpowder supply boat for the Mississippi squadron. Shown on the Mississippi, with the bluffs of Natchez or Vicksburg in the background. From the effects of Peter Hartwig, Acting Chief Engineer, USN and vet of the "Brown-water Navy" who served on the Torrence. Fine tones, mount with slight surface soil, tiny tack holes in corners.
