A neat grouping of seven post-war pension documents concerning claims made by various soldiers. The documents vary size from 8vo. to folio, totaling 12pp., and date between the 1870's and 1900's. Each man describes being wounded or having been injured during military service. The regiments these men served with during the war were the: 120th New York Vol., 124th New York Vol., 128th New York Vol., 169th New York Vol., and the 5th Penn. Hvy. Artillery. In part: "…said Cerry was observing one of his comrades who was performing with a gun…said gun was discharged and the ball struck said Cherry in the neck...at the retreat of the army from Culpeper the 120th Reg't was compelled to ford a stream…I caught a severe cold…". Seven pieces, overall very good.
