<p><b><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:windowtext'>CHRISTOPHER “KIT” CARSON </span></b><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Arial; color:windowtext'>(1809-1868). American frontiersman who was the renowned guide of John C. Frémont’s western expeditions in the 1840’s, playing an important part in the conquest of California during the Mexican War. Clipped signature, “<i>C. Carson,</i>” boldly penned in brown ink. Fine example. He later became an agent for the Ute (1853-1861), and was brevetted brigadier general at the close of the Civil War.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.
5. The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot for any
reason.
6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of invoice. All accounts are payable
to Signature House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire transfer
details are available upon request. West Virginia residents will pay a
sales tax of 6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA a
credit card is requested.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within seven day
providing that it comes back in the same condition. There is a

expert authenticators acceptable to both parties.
15. The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of the
preceding terms and conditions of sale.
