TLS, signed "C Madsen", as Chief Deputy, 1p, July 30, 1906, 4to, Office of U.S. Marshal letterhead, Guthrie, Oklahoma Territory, to Deputy U.S. Marshal L P Gosney, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Reads, "...When you were here I omitted to ask your age and occupation. It is necessary that I know this in making my report to the Attorney General..." Answered at bottom by Gosney, "...my Age is 52...oc[c]upation by trade is Carpenter & steam Engineer last oc[c]upation as Clerk...L P Gosney..." Some toning at margin, o/w VG. Scarce. $750-1,000
