CHIPPENDALE TEN-DRAWER HIGH CHEST. Cherry with an old finish and poplar secondary wood. Exceptionally high ogee feet have scalloped returns. Drawers have beaded edges and the original oval brasses. Top five drawers have spring releases underneath. Cove molded cornice. Old splits in the feet and some of the scallops are missing from the returns. A few small insect holes on one drawer front and backboards are renailed. Case is 40 1/4"w. At feet. 44"w. 22 1/2"d. 70"h.
