Adorable and charming pewter Koi (Carp) figural teapot, early 19th century Chinese Export. Heavily chased and tooled pewter, copper trimmed edging on gills and surrounding red coral eyes. Top lid is well fitted and removable, shaped pewter handle swivels on original mounts. The pouring spout is his nose. No replacements. Stands on malable pewter feet. Fins adjust also as pewter is soft. His companion piece (see my listing for Pewter Koi Compote) I believe this tea pot is same period, early 19th century.

Origin: Chinese for Export Condition: Very fine, normal wear of the period, pewter is soft, fins can be moved, no breaks or holes.<p> Additional photos available, please inquire.<p>
