PISTOL. Cal. 9x19mm. S# 4CH9289. Bbl. 4 5/8". MK. I* semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Canada by Inglis under contract for the Chinese Nationalist military. Left side of the slide is marked "MK.I*" above "BROWNING FN 9MM HP INGLIS CANADA". Right side of frame and slide exhibit Canadian proofing. Slotted frame is fitted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips, with a lanyard stud mounted on the left side. Thumbprint slide with dovetailed blade front sight and V-notch tangent rear sight graduated 50-500. Slide and bbl. do not match the frame, but match each other via "5CH631". MAGS: 1 contemporary blued and unmarked 13-rd. mag., with black synthetic follower and button type floorplate. CONDITION: metal components exhibit a dark gray patina, exhibiting edge wear showing through to silvering and light to mild pitting overall. Bbl. exhibits scattered spots of age related discoloration. Bore is relatively bright, exhibiting consistent light to mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show smoothing, as well as scattered marks and scratches from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (25-2724/MLW). CURIO. $400-800.
