etc.) & Knotty Pine is not responsible for any damages, loss, delays in shipping, etc. once shipped. All claims must be made to the shipper or carrier. Knotty Pine will assist in placing a claim but assumes no responsibility for payment or denial of payment of claims. To expedite & speed up the shipping process, Knotty Pine suggests using an independent shipper. 1. 15% buyers premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot. A 3% discount will be offered with payment by cash or cheque. Mastercard and Visa are accepted. 3% discount only applies with cash or cheque payments. Live bidding online will incur a 20% buyers premium with no cash or cheque discounts.
2. The listings of the sale are only a guide. Any reports of condition are strictly an opinion and given as a courtesy to the potential client(s).
These reports should not be treated as statements of fact, and should not be deemed as a written or expressed guarantee of any sort. All lots are sold as is, where is, without written or expressed guarantee of condition or authenticity. Reports given by phone or internet are strictly an opinion of Knotty Pine and/or its employees, and is in no way a written or expressed guarantee of any sort. All lots should be viewed by potential bidders to determine his/her level of interest in said lot(s). You the bidder are the final judge, jury, and executioner, and therefore you should not bid on items you have not viewed or examined, as returns will not be accepted. 3. Some lots are subject to reserve. The reserve is a confidential minimum price agreed upon by the consignor and Knotty Pine at which an item will not be sold below. Reserves will never exceed any written or verbal estimates given. The auction house will execute these reserves on behalf of the consignor. The auctioneer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid he feels is not commensurate with the value of any lot or an increment not consistent with bidding. Knotty Pine reserves the right to withdraw any lot, for any reason, at any time that Knotty Pine deems necessary.
4. Payment must be made on the day of the sale unless prior arrangements have been made. The auction house reserves the right to hold objects until the checks are cleared. Oriental rugs are cash only! A $25.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks. If the check is returned a second time an additional fee of $25.00 will be charged. The purchaser will also be responsible for the purchase price and any and all fees incurred in the collection of purchases. All collections of monies by Knotty Pine will be filed in the state of New Hampshire in the court of Cheshire County as well as any and all other courts necessary for collection. If the purchaser breaches any of its obligations to pay in full the purchase price of all items for which he/she was the highest successful bidder, Knotty Pine may exercise all of its rights and remedies under the law including, without limitation, (a) canceling the sale and applying any payments made by the purchaser to the damages caused by the purchaser's breach and/or (b) offering at public auction, without reserve, any lot for which the purchaser has failed to pay in full the purchase price, holding the purchaser liable for any deficiency plus all costs of sale & collection of monies.

5. Absentee bids will be executed as a convenience to the customer.
However, the auction house will not be responsible for any errors or failure to execute bids. A minimum of $25.00 bid is required on each absentee bid. All absentee bids require a credit card to secure the bids.
Credit cards are for the security of the auction house only, and are not a preferred method of payment. However, any lots unpaid after 30 days will be charged to the credit card and instead of the normal 12% Buyer's Premium, a 15% Buyer's Premium will be charged for this service, unless the item was purchased via live online bidding, in which case an 20% Buyer's Premium will be charged.
6. Knotty Pine, its auctioneers, or its employees will not be liable for any injury, damage, or loss incurred in conjunction with this sale. Any items left at Knotty Pine or its premises after the sale date will be left solely at the risk and responsibility of the purchaser. Knotty Pine will assume no liability for theft, damage, or loss of any items. Lots must be picked up in a reasonable period of time (14 days from sale date). Any items left for an unreasonable amount of time (over 14 days from day of sale date) may be subject to storage fees of 3% of purchase price or a monthly fee of $50.00 a month, whichever is greater.
