<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899>(1885-1966). Admiral, USN; Commander in chief of the Pacific Fleet; signed the Japanese surrender document on behalf of the United States. TLS, 1p, 8vo, n.p., Jun 10, 1961. On his personal Fleet Admiral letterhead to Col. Taylor, Nimitz graciously responds to request for “<i>some insignia</i>” he had worn<i>. “After thinking about your request I have the following I can send to you. One is a pair of my wings I had made into a bracelet, and a pair of my Admiral should boards. I hope they will help out and fit in, to complete your display</i>...” Boldly signed. These artifacts are attractively displayed beneath the letter and a b/w, 7½"x9" bust portrait of the five-star admiral in uniform. Triple-matted within shadow box to overall 21½"x20". Handsome presentation. Very nice.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,
whichever is higher.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped
immediately upon receipt of payment.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
