Ink and watercolour on paper, hanging scroll, featuring two birds and lychee tree, signed Chen Banding (Chinese, 1879-1970), inscribed with 2 artist seals, 52 x 49 cm. Chen Banding was a Chinese visual artist who was born in 1877. Chen Banding has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the National Art Museum of China. Many works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Two Works: Character and Landscape; Calligraphy' sold at China Guardian Auctions, Beijing '30th China Guardian Quarterly Auction: Chinese Painting and Calligraphy' in 2012 for $388,376.
