<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899>(1737-1832). Called Charles Carroll of Carrollton after the manor house and estate presented him by his father. American patriot; the last surviving <b>Signer</b> of the 56 who signed the Declaration of Independence; elected to Continental Congress; member of the commission appointed by that Congress to induce Canada to join in the war against England (1776), a venture which failed; senator from Maryland. Partly printed ADS, a bank check drawn on the Office of Discount and Deposit, Baltimore, Jan 3, 1829. Payable to “<i>Mrs. Catharine Harper</i>” in the amount of $600. Boldly signed “<i>Ch. Carroll of Carrollton</i>” and completed by the elder former senator. Two cut cancellations present without paper loss; top edge tipped to mount; else Fine example. Nicely mounted beneath attractive lithograph under window mat. Very nice. Ready for framing.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,
whichever is higher.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped
immediately upon receipt of payment.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
