CENSORED FEMALE CONCENTRATION CAMP MAIL
Censored mail sent from Frantiska Najmrova, a prisoner at the Theresienstadt Concentration Camp. Censored letter sent to her daughter dated 1945, with four crossed out censorship marks, 4 x 5.75 inches. The text which has been censored likely was an expression of thanks for a food or clothing parcel and greetings and kisses from her 'mom'. Najmrova was arrested as a potential political opponent of the Nazis and sent to a prison in Prague. In late December 1944, she was transferred to Theresienstadt where she was then liberated by Soviet forces in May 1945. WITH: Small museum photo of the Women's Court at the Small Fortress, approx. 3.5 x 2.5 inches.
