CDV OF MAJOR T. S. OSBORN, 1ST NY LIGHT ARTY. Cartes by "Hart's Gallery, Watertown, NY" and signed "T.W. Osborn Col." in his hand on verso. Osborn originally commanded Battery D, 1st NYLA before promotion to Major in March 1863. Subsequently, he was Chief of 11th Corps artillery at Gettysburg and later O.O. Howard's 4th Corps artillery during the Atlanta campaign. Osborn is cited frequently in the OR's. MINT condition.Provenance: Mickle album.
