CDV OF BVT. BRIG. GEN. J.S. FULLERTON. Trimmed cartes of Fullerton by "Schwing & Rudd" identified in ink on verso with rank and "A.A.G 4th Corps" title. Fullerton started the war as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Missouri Infantry before joining the staff of General Granger as Major. He became Lt. Colonel and 4th Corps Chief of Staff under O.O. Howard in April 1864 and was brevetted Brigadier General on March 13, 1865 for "gallant and meritorious conduct during the Atlanta campaign." Likely unpublished and VG except for trimmed bottom.
