Civil War CDV portrait of soldier seated in full uniform. The soldier is pictured with a kepi hat on his head and a pensive expression. The 2.5” x 4” image is oval framed on a white matte with magenta borders around the oval. The backmark reads, “H.E. Gibson, Photographer, No. 559 Broadway, Bet. Spring and Prince Sts., New York.” The printed border of the backmark features decorative leaves at the four corners. The slight soiling and worn corners do not affect the image. Very good condition.
