CDV of Isaac F. Williams of the 156th New York Infantry, Company G. Identified to reverse in elaborate red script, “I.F. Williams / 156 Regiment NYSV / Milton NY.” Williams mustered into service on 17 November 1862 and was transferred into the Veteran Reserve Corps on 19 February 1864. He mustered out on 5 December 1865 at Hartford, Connecticut. The 156th New York saw action at Baton Rouge, Fort Bisland, Pleasant Hill, Winchester, Cedar Creek and Hatcher’s Run. Image measures 2.5” x 4”. Very good condition.
