CDV of James B. Lyons, 2nd Connecticut Heavy Artillery, Company A. Pencil inscription to verso reads ''James B. Lyons of Co. A. / 1863.'' Pencil inscription in a different hand reads ''James B. Lyons / Co. A Conn. Inf. / Warren - Mustered Aug. 14 8162 / Mustered out July 7, 1865 at Washington.'' James Lyons joined the 2nd Connecticut Heavy Artillery in September 1862. This regiment was engaged at Winchester as well as Harrisonburg, Cedar Creek and Hatcher’s Run. Image measures 2.5'' x 4''. Margins shows slight toning. Overall excellent.
