CDV image of Alexis J. Seymour, 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery, Company I. Bottom margin of image is signed in post-war ink with the incorrect regiment information. Verso contains modern pencil markings. Pencil inscription to verso reads ''Died 1/1/64''. Seymour mustered in on 23 May 1861, he died the first of January, 1864. The 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery was engaged at Yorktown, Harrison’s Landing, Gaines' Mills, and Malvern Hill. Image measures 2.5'' x 4'' and shows only slight foxing. Overall very good condition.
