CDV of Lieutenant Arnold F. Salisbury of the 12th Rhode Island Infantry, Company H. Modern pencil identification to verso reads, ''Lt. Arnold F. Salisbury / Co. H 12th RI Vols.'' Salisbury enlisted as a 1st Lieutenant on 13 October 1862 and mustered out on 29 July 1863. The 12th Rhode Island served in the defenses of Washington, D.C. until December 1862 when it saw action at Fredericksburg and moved with Burnside's second campaign through January 1863. Minor foxing and wear to image, else very good condition.
