A very finely carved ivory terrier head with glass eyes. This very detailed carving is 2" high x 2" long, mounted ona Basque medlar shaft with 1" marked Sterling collar that has beaded border at top and base. Total length 35" with1.5" brass & steel ferrule.Open crack in back of terrier's head, other tight age lines in ivory, nice old patina to shaft with original finish.(EST 300-400)
