The finely carved ivory handle on this cane is an "L"- shaped handle made with 3 pieces of walrus ivory. Thehorizontal piece is 3" wide and 1" high and has grooves carved on the underside. There is a small ivory spacerbetween the two major parts of this handle. The vertical portion is 2.5" high and has the Masonic compass carved inhigh relief. There are shrinkage cracks in this part of the handle on either side of the Masonic symbol. The cane has a.5" silver collar, tapering malacca shaft and 1" horn ferrule. Slight damage to shaft finish. Overall length, 34.5".minor drying crack through grooves(EST 200-400)
