A nice walrus ivory knobbed cane, probably representing Aesop's story of the fox and the grapes. The singlepiece ivory handle is 5.5" long with high relief carved head of a fox with glass eyes above grapes & grape leaves.Mounted on a nice hardwood shaft with a .75" brass ferrule. Total length 35.75".No mounting collar, possibly a marriage, but if so it is well done.(EST 300-400)
