Hand colored engracved navigation sea chart of the River Thames - 'The River of Thames from London to the Buoy of Noure' - 'This map is most humbly dedicated and presented by Cpt. G. Collins.' Published by Richard Mount, London. The chart was published in 'Great Britain's Coasting Pilot', an atlas of 48 charts of British waters surveyed by Captain Greenvile Collins between 1681-88. Collins, who was made Hydrographer to King Charles II in 1679, was sponsored by Trinity House, made up of two pieces mounted together on cardboard, circa 1700, 24.5 x 38.5 inches. 1.5-inch split at bottom edge and small tear at right margin. Ships flat.
