Her objective is to capture a human presence without including people in her photographs. By photographing cultural spaces, she suggests the presence of a thinking society. The absence of people seems only momentary, since the chairs sit facing the viewer, and we glimpse a book-filled library downstairs. The vibrant green plants also allude to the temporary absence of human life in this setting.
