Donald Stuart was the Head of the Jewellery and Metals program at Barrie's Georgian College. While teaching in the Arctic, he developed an appreciation for the Inuit culture which has inspired many of his designs, which often include the use of exotic materials such as antler, walrus ivory, whalebone and metallic minerals. In 2000, Donald Stuart received our highest honour, the Order of Ontario.
