Birchall), with the half-title, large 12mo, original boards, uncut, recently and neatly rebacked retaining the original endleaves : with some light evidence of marginalia, but a very good copy, with the signature of Jane Masters Underwood on half-title.Edited by his brother-in-law, William Horsley. Callcott (1766-1821), musician and composer, best-known as a glee writer of great power and fecundity, ranked as one of the ablest and most popular composers of his day. His 'Grammar' was a great success, often reprinted : this third edition is the last with the author's corrections.
