2) Gold Hill, Nevada dated Oct. 20, 1865. Check no. 138 issued to A.S. Rosenbaum & Co. For $168.00. Signed by W. H. Blauwell. Endorsed on the reverse by A. S. Rosenbaum Co. Of Ellenburg. One orange, R15, R2, 2c revenue stamp,perf., and one red, Nevada, 4c revenue stamp, imperf. Torn in the middle. Some yellowing. Fair to good.

3) French Mill. Virginia, Nevada dated Jan 4, 1870. Check no. 106 issued to McPuffie Hastings & Co. For $55.75. Signed by James G. Fair, who was credited for discovering the 'Big Bonanza'. Endorsed on the reverse by an agent for the company. Two orange revenue stamps, one 2c Nevada stamp, perf., and one 2c R15, R2, perf. Torn in the middle. Good.

4) Virginia, Nevada dated July 13, 1869. Unnumbered check issued to J.J. Cooper for 74.40. Signed by James G. Fair. Endorsed on the reverse by Cooper. Two orange revenue stamps, one, a 2c Nevada, partially perf., and one a 2c U.S. R15, R 2. Perf. Several folds. Good condition.
