c1930-Lot of 10: Multiple wooden box ends and large wooden box of explosives, along with a blasting caps canister, and even a "Blasting Galvanometer." This galvanometer comes in a leather case with strap, and was used to measure the silver chloride content of blasting caps. The large box is from the "Apache Powder Co. Benson, Arizona/ ICC-14." The words "High Explosives-Dangerous" is stamped below the company name. The end caps of the box read "50 LBS. Apache Explosives/ Gelatin." The various other end panels read "50 LBS. 1 1/4x8/ American Semi-Gel 2 Dynamite," "1 1/8 /%Strength/ Giant V.L.F. /Gelatine/ 50 LBS." "The Judson Dynamite & Powder Co. San Francisco, Cal. / No. 2 3/4x8," "Explosives/ Trojan Chemicals." There is another smaller complete box, which reads "Trojan Blasting Caps," dovetail construction, although most of the lettering is faded. There is a lid which reads (in order) "AF12/ 500-8 FEET/ NO. 8/ DELAY-2/ ELECTTRIC BLASTING CAPS/ BLACK & WHITE ENAMEL/ ENDS-LEAD-SHUNT." The blasting caps canister is from the "California Cap Co. of San Francisco. Finally, there is what appears to be a home-made timer, labeled to 30 with a wooden pointer on a piece of a blasting box lid. We can only speculate how this works. A large collection for any mining enthusiast. HKA#64986
