Lot of 3 commemorative sterling silver spoons. 1) Measures 5 1/2" in length, 1" in width at the largest point of the bowl. The handle is decoratively engraved with leaves and acorns. At the top of the handle is pan with "California" at the top and engraved ore resting at the bottom of the pan. A pick and ax behind the pan and on top of the pan is a profile view of a small bear standing at the edge of a cliff. "Grass Valley" is engraved in the center of the mouth of the bowl. Good. 2) Measures 4" in length, 3/4" in width at largest point of the bowl. The handle is also decorated the same as the previous spoon; however the bear is looking forward and holding onto the pan with both paws. Very Good. 3) Measures 4" in length, 3/4" in width at largest point of the bowl. The handle is slightly crooked, because it is a design of a tree branch, with engraved grapes, vines, leaves and flowers. At the top is a pan with fake gold painted ore, pick and ax behind it and a small bucket resting on top of the pan. Wrapped around the handle, is a small metal rope or chain. "Grass Valley Cal." is engraved in the center of the mouth with painted gold around the lettering. Fine.
