Beveridge District. Incoportated in Arizona in 1904. Cert. #58, issued at Chicago in 1905 for 100 shares to Mrs. Susana M.D. Fry, signed by O.S. Williams as president. U/C. Mines at Beveridge District, Inyo County, California printed on the masthead. The Keynote mine is located 10 miles east of Lone Pine at 7,500’ elevation. The mine was worked continuously from 1878 to 1886, then periodically up to 1907. Development work consisted of 7 tunnels, varying from 150’ to 750’. The tunnels were connected by winzes and raises (Mines and Mineral Resources of Alpine, Inyo and Mono County, CA State Mining Bureau, 1916). In the 1880’s, the mine had a 5-stamp mill at work, together with arrastras and produced over $152,000 of gold in the last 8 months of 1883. The rock was packed out on mules from the mine to the mill [Burchard, 1883]. Very attractive certificate. Black and green on crème. Nice millsite vignette and flowers below the company name on the masthead.
