Lot of 4. 1). Photograph of school teacher, and students. Inscribed on reverse, "Shot at Bodie, California." Measures 7.25" x 5" mounted. Matte is torn at bottom corners and has minor staining and fingerprints. Good contrast and focus. 2). Photograph of townspeople standing at the front of F.M. Spencer's Gibsonville hotel. Five newly planted pine trees stand at the face of the hotel. Barn in the background. The 5" x 7" photograph is mounted on tan matte. Photograph has a small tear at the bottom edge. Top right corner has a small stain and the matte is missing the bottom right corner. Good contrast and focus. 3). Gibsonville photograph of John Crossman, tight-rope walker walking the rope over townspeople. Caption at the bottom lists the event as July 4, 1892. Photographer: Gustave H. Schubert (Nelson Point, Ca.). Measures 8.75" x 6.75" mounted. Matte has bottom right corner missing and bend creases. Slight buckling. Photograph has scratches throughout but contrast and focus is good. 4). Photograph of Gibsonville's Golden Anchor Parlor Members standing in front of the Gibsonville Masonic hall. Included in the photograph is William H. (Uncle Bill) Spencer, who joined the order at 21, ca. 1913. Measures 8.75" x 6.75" mounted on tan matte. Photograph has scratches throughout. Matte is missing bottom right corner, and has tears, stains, and some buckling. Good contrast and focus.
