Number 13039, datelined Bodie, 20 November 1880 to Jas. Armstrong signed by W. [illegible] Pope for $100.00. Endorsed by James Armstrong on the back. It also has an illegible signature below Armstrong’s and two deposit stamps. One of the deposit stamps is for the “Anglo California Bank, L’d.” Vignette of a Roman warrior with shield and ribbon. Six receipts from various companies to J. S. Cain in Bodie from 1896 to 1913. One is from the Standard Consolidated Mining Company for delivery of old iron pipe and one white mule – which cost thirty dollars. Another is J. S. Cain’s power bill. One is a charge by Adams and Cain General Merchandise, Lumber and Groceries for use of a team from Bodie to Sunshine, Nevada and back. Another is a letter along with a payment of $31.20 to the Bullion and Exchange Bank in Carson City, Nevada.

On the back of this letter is a man of the United States marking the national locations of Crane Company. All in excellent condition.
