Lot of 10 Items, including: 1) A Deed of Mining Claim from L.E. Bell to J.S. Cain, dated Nov 1st, 1926. Filed at the Mono County Records Office on June 14, 1928, and signed by Geo. C. Delury, Jr., Recorder. 2) Letter to R.F. Bryant, datelined Bodie, Mono Co., Cal., Aug 4, 1898. Signed by J.S. Cain, it covers a statement enclosed with the letter (not present here) of business done with Bridgeport Telephone Co. 3) Bottom half of letter summarizing Lodge Receipts and Disbursements, signed by J.S. Cain, Receiver. 4) A typed letter from J.S. Cain Co. To State Bank & Trust Co., Carson, Nevada. It states that a check is enclosed for $2000, with the request that an equal amount be shipped in gold coin in $20 pieces to the Cain Co. Address. Datelined Bodie, February 27, 1904. Hole punched "The State Bank and Trust Co., Paid, 3 1 04." 5) Two cards from Cain Co. to the State Bank & Trust, Carson City, Nev. Dated 8/24/1904 and 10/11/1907, signed by J.S. Cain Co., records amount credited to their account. Measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/2". 6) A remittance receipt for the Bullion Exchange Bank for $25 dated May 30, 1902. Several tears, repaired by tape on reverse. 7) Registry Return Receipt of Postmaster from The State Bank & Trust Co. Of Carson City to J.S. Cain, Bodie, Cal. Postmarked Aug 30, 1907. 8) A 1 cent USA postal card addressed to A.L. Buterfield, Lundy, Mono County, Cal., dated March 6, 1895. The note requests information on a common friend, G. Malcrew, who "has been committed to Stockton insane asylum."
