Lot includes 6 items: 1) Liquor License No. 16, dated June 1, 1880. For "Bodie - Bill's Salone," it ran from June 2 to July 2. Signed by the County Auditor and Tax Collector, and received by "Wm. (Bodie - Bill) Luther. 2) US Postal Money Order from Bodie, California No. 23696." Dated April, 6, 1908, difficult to read the signature of postmaster or name of remitter. 3) Postal Cover from "1849-Historic Gold Rush Centennial-1949, Columbia, California. Cover has Columbia postmark dated Jul 15, 1949, and has a 3-cent US postage stamp highlighting "Fort Kearney 1848-Nebraska-1948 Guardian of the Pioneer." Illustrations on the front include Columbia in 1850's, map of the Gold Country, and the importance of Wells Fargo and the Pony Express in the development of the West. 4) Two advertising cards, neither an original. The first is for A.B. Stewart & Co. Apothecaries, Opposite West & Bryant's, Bodie, Cal. The second is from S. Torio Co., Inc. General Merchandise, Wines, Liquors, Cigars, Toilet Articles. Bodie, Cal. On the reverse advertises Lion Coffee, as "Lion is the King of Coffees." 5) A modern, round patch for the "Bodie State Historic Park." It features a miner, holding his pick over his right shoulder, leaning on an ore cart.
