-This is a lot of 2. 1) 2 Boca Brewing Co. trading cards. The first features a grizzly bear surrounded by the Boca logo. The second features a colonial styled woman drinking some lager beer. When turned over the two cards provide information about the Boca Brewing Co. Both cards have some wear, and together they measure 6.9” x 5.90” 2) Receipt dated September 17, 1892 to a William Shimmins of Benton, CA. The order was for 3 casks of bottle beer with a grand total of $33.00. This document has some wear, including minor tears and a small stain in the upper left side. It measures 8.5”x 7.” The story of the Boca Brewing Co. is rooted in California’s early history of the railroad. Boca’s humble beginnings started as a construction camp. It didn’t take long for investors to realize that the cold temperatures of Boca could produces ice, which at the time was a much needed product for the state of California.
