A reward poster offering $350 reward for the apprehension and conviction of H.C. Hill, Folsom (Prison) No. 1981—alias A.E. Dodge, S.Q. (San Quentin) No. 11346. Hill is wanted for robbing 3 passengers on the Forest Hill stage near Colfax on August 3, “obtaining $14 in money.” Hill, who has “piercing steel blue eyes,” is known by aliases John F. Read and Charles Choate. Signed by Chas. Keena, Sheriff of Placer County. The poster includes a photo of the perpetrator. Some foxing at margins, one chip at top, a nail hole and right corner torn off, none of which interferes with the photo or information printed. 8 x 10.”
