This is a scarce Pettengill double action revolver with 3,400 manufactured in the early 1860s. The top strap is marked with the two line Pettengill 1856 patent date and two line Raymond & Robitaille marking around the sight groove. The cylinder, trigger guard and both grips are numbered to the gun.

Condition: Good. The revolver has a mottled brown-gray patina with some scattered minor pitting. The grips are also good with high edge wear, a hairline crack on the bottom and some minor handing marks. Cylinder does not rotate properly when action is cycled.
