Gene Autry (1907 – 1998), nicknamed the "Singing Cowboy", was famous for more than three decades beginning in the early 1930s. From 1934 to 1953, Autry appeared in 93 films, of which “Springtime in the Rockies” (1937) was one. In this photo, Gene is shown with three pretty, smiling unnamed women. The photo has a pin hole in the upper left boarder and some tape residue marks in the corners. The edges of the photo has some slight tears and bends, but the center looks good. the photo measures 10" x 8" and is in a simple black frame measuring 11 3/4" x 9 1/4". The next item is a Frederic Remington 1901 print of “An Arizona Cowboy”. The print is in a frame measuring 17" x 13". The print is loose in the frame and the frame has some separation in the upper right corner. The print is in fair condition. Next are three C. M. Russell prints. The first print is "Navajo Wild Horse Hunters". This print has been attached to a sturdy board. The art measures 18" x 12" and the board measures 23" x 15 1/2". The print is in poor condition and has many scratches. The next two prints are also Russell. One is the 1916 "Two of A Kind Win", showing two hunters returning to camp to find two skunks having a fine time. The second print is 1915 "Meat's Not Meat 'Till it’s in the Pan; Hunter's Luck". This print shows a hunter trying to figure out how to retrieve his "meat" from a cliff side. The prints are in matching wooden 15" x 11" frames and in good condition.
