C. Plath Kriegsmarine Sextant with Case
Rare WWII sextant manufactured in Hamburg, Germany by the C. Plath Company and used by the German Navy. Numbered 7496 on the index arm, with a milled off section (normally where the "eagle/ swastika" marking would be), and marked "H.M.". Arc is marked with Plath's logo, with -5 to 125 degree markings and "23126" on the rear. Equipped with 3 shade filters for the horizon mirror and 4 for the index mirror. With a hardwood case with a silver tag marked "G.G./ Johnson" set into the lid, a Gulf Oil shipping tag to Garland Johnson, "Circle" brand stopwatch and a Nazi proof sheet dated 24 June 1943.

Very good, with some flaking and wear on the finish, tiny spots on the mirrors, and mild handling marks. Case shows some mild wear and rust on the latches. Optics untested. Stopwatch is out of order.
