These are a set of excellent Western Cowboy child’s Wooly Buffalo chaps made by Charles E. Collins of Prescott, Arizona in 1936-1941. Charles E. Collins (b.1879-d.1962) was a very well-known and reputable Western leather goods maker. He began working in Arizona saddleries when he moved there at 15 years old. After many years as a ranging cowboy, Collins started a shop in Globe, Arizona in 1914. He moved his shop to Prescott, Arizona and was only there for six year, 1936-1941, until he moved back to Globe. These chaps have the rare advertising round medallion and show excellent tan and brown colored Wooly Buffalo fur and leather chaps. These are in near mint condition and are of museum quality. The set is displayed on a custom metal frame. Chaps measure 25.5“L, each leg is 10.25“W, and the top belt area is 34.5“L. Stand measures 30.75“H x 10.5“ diameter at the base.
